Swae Lee (born Khalif Malik Ibn Shaman Brown, 1993) is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Inglewood, California, best known as one half of the hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd alongside his brother Slim Jxmmi. His solo breakthrough came with "Sunflower" (with Post Malone), the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack cut that hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has since surpassed four billion Spotify streams. Beyond performing, he has writing credits on major hits by Beyoncé and Travis Scott, showing a range that goes well beyond his melodic rap persona.
