Petr Švancara (born 5 November 1977 in Brno), nicknamed Švanci or Mercedes, is a former Czech professional striker and now a well-known entertainer. He played 309 top-flight matches and scored 59 goals, spending most of his career at Zbrojovka Brno, where he became a club icon. After retiring in 2015 he reinvented himself as a TV personality - a regular on the football talk show TIKI-TAKA, a 2023 Survivor Czech & Slovak contestant, and since 2024 the host of his own touring stand-up show Já su já.
The FAČR Disciplinary Commission imposed a two-match ban and a fine of 150,000 CZK on Švancara for offensive remarks directed at Ukrainian players of Cézava B during an amateur match in March 2025; Švancara apologized on social media.
In March 2025, Švancara participated in the podcast Vládci fotbalu, where he openly discussed his bohemian approach to football and the scandal involving Ukrainian players.
In 2025, Švancara appeared in the film Vyšehrad Dvje, a continuation of the successful Czech comedy series about footballer Julius Lavický.
In 2024, Švancara got a role in the TV series Kamarádi on TV Prima, where he played a former football international coaching a women's team.
At the Slovácké léto festival in July 2024, Švancara received the Slovácké léto Award for lifetime contribution to sports.
