Štěpán Švestka is a Czech cellist born in 1982 in Brno. He studied at JAMU Brno and the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, and is the winner of four international competitions, including the grand prize at the Leoš Janáček Competition. He holds a world record for the fastest performance of Flight of the Bumblebee and teaches cello at JAMU.
