Štěpán Janoušek (born 1989, Klatovy) is a Czech jazz trombonist, vocalist and composer. He studied at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague and in 2014 won the ITA J. J. Johnson Competition, an international jazz trombone contest for musicians under 25. He co-founded the Janoušek-Wróblewski Quartet, with whom he has released three albums and toured Europe extensively; he also teaches trombone and improvisation at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory.

    The Janoušek-Wróblewski Quartet performed at the 62nd Jazzwerkstatt Peitz festival in Germany (August 15-17, 2025); the American website The Free Jazz Collective gave a favorable review of the concert.

    The quartet released an album 'Vystresovaný medvídek koala na pokraji sil se hledaje štěstí náhodně upálí v lesním požáru' on the Ma Records label, recorded at Theatre 29 in Pardubice as part of the Jazzconnexion project.

    The quartet released two albums simultaneously - 'Svatby' (original compositions by Janoušek and Wróblewski) and 'Plesy' (collective improvisation by the entire quartet), both on March 29, 2019.
