Soňa Godarská is a Slovak soprano from Poprad who came to singing by an unusual route - she first studied chemistry in Prague, spent two years in Norway, and only enrolled at the Prague Conservatory at the age of twenty-six. She performs on opera stages in Ostrava, Liberec, Plzeň and České Budějovice, and has also appeared as a guest at the National Theatre in Prague. In 2024 she received the Thálie Award, partly for her title role in Massenet's Manon.
