🎸 Ševčík Quartet

About

Ševčík Quartet is a Prague string quartet founded in June 2020 by students of the Prague Conservatory. The ensemble takes its name from the celebrated Czech violin pedagogue Otakar Ševčík and has been shaped by players from leading Czech chamber groups. In 2021 it won first prize and the Mikuláš Zmeškal special award at the Talents for Europe competition, and it performs regularly both at home and abroad.
