Semyon Bychkov is a Russian-American conductor who has been chief conductor and music director of the Czech Philharmonic since 2018. Trained in Leningrad, he built his career across the US and Europe, leading ensembles such as the Orchestre de Paris and the WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln. He is particularly associated with Russian and Central European orchestral repertoire.
