Richard Samko (born 16 May 1978 in Náchod) is a Czech journalist and presenter of Romani origin who has worked at Czech Television since 1999. He came to wider public attention in 2001 with an investigative report on British immigration controls at Prague airport, co-produced with Nora Fridrichová. Alongside his work on the main news programme Události, he makes documentaries - most notably Boj o Hřensko (2022), covering the largest forest fire in Czech history from the front line. He is also a long-standing voice on Romani community issues and hosts cultural events.
