QAI (pronounced "kai") is a four-piece indie-pop band from Třinec, Czech Republic, whose name comes from the local Silesian dialect and means "where" or "to where". The band was started in 2017 by vocalist Tomasz Wałach and drummer Pavel Pilch, with Vlastimil Škoda and Krystian Danel joining in 2022. Their debut EP Fastgoing (2021) was produced by Danish producer Esben Svane, and the track Friends landed on several Spotify editorial playlists. All their songs are in English, sitting somewhere between indie pop and acoustic alternative.

The second edition of a local live music festival in the garden of U Matesa pub in Třinec. Four bands perform from 16:00 onwards – from gorol-rock The Synks through rock-pop DEN-Y and indie-pop QAI to funk-rock Hot Wassermann from Ostrava.
Indie-pop band QAI from Třinec and Olomouc-based songwriter Evah will perform as part of the beloved spring Jazz Evenings series. Admission is on a pay-what-you-wish basis.
