Proměny is the breakthrough album by Czech folk-rock band Čechomor, recorded in 2001 with the Collegium of the Czech Philharmonic under the production of British musician Jaz Coleman. The record brought orchestral arrangements of Moravian and Czech folk songs to a wide audience, sold over 250,000 copies worldwide - including a release in Japan - and won three Anděl Awards for Album, Song and Group of the Year. Čechomor, built around Karel Holas and František Černý since 1988, ranks among the most respected interpreters of Czech folk music.
Čechomor announced the anniversary tour Proměny after 25 years for November 2026, at which Lenka Dusilová and the Prague Philharmonia orchestra will rejoin the band.
Čechomor released a new studio album Švarní šohajové on November 8, 2024, which combines Czech, Moravian, Silesian, and Rusyn folk songs with original compositions.
In March 2025, the first weekend meeting of Čechomor fans with the band took place at the winery near Kapličky.
In spring 2025, Čechomor completed the Kooperativa Tour with the new album Švarní šohajové at 15 stops across the Czech Republic.
For the 25th anniversary of the album Proměny, the band is preparing two new songs that will be released on the upcoming album tentatively titled Proměny 2.
