Poppy Seed Grinder is a brutal death metal band from Prague, active since 1997. They blend heavy death metal riffs with hardcore elements and have played hundreds of shows across Europe, sharing stages with acts like Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death and Dying Fetus. Since 2016 they have released records on the Japanese label Amputated Vein Records; their latest album, Faceless Atrocities (2021), introduced a new line-up featuring female vocalist Bára.
In July 2026, the band is scheduled to perform at the Zraz Anonymných Alkoholikov festival in Ústí nad Orlicí.
In February 2026, the band released a live video from their performance at Bleeding Ears Metal Meating vol. IV at the Prague MusicClubu Modrá Vopice.
At the end of 2025, the band announced a completely new lineup with which they prepared new material.
In November 2021, the fourth studio album Faceless Atrocities was released on the Amputated Vein Records label with new vocalist Bárou.
