Poison Ruïn is a Philadelphia punk and heavy metal band founded in 2020 by Mac Kennedy as a one-man pandemic project, later expanded into a four-piece. Their sound - tagged "dark age punk" - fuses anarcho-punk, post-punk and deathrock with dungeon synth and medieval imagery. Signed to Relapse Records, they released Härvest (2023) and Hymns from the Hills (2026) to widespread critical acclaim.

    The band released their third album Hymns from the Hills (April 3, 2026) on Relapse Records; Pitchfork praised its "cleaner production, catchier melodies and broader influences".

    Poison Ruïn announced a spring North American tour (April-May 2026) in support of the album Hymns from the Hills, starting April 11 at New York's Bowery Ballroom.

    The single "Eidolon" from the new album was selected by Consequence magazine as "Heavy Song of the Week".

  • 2024-08

    The band released the EP Confrere (August 2, 2024) on Relapse Records and toured the United Kingdom and Europe.

  • 2025-09

    In September 2025, Poison Ruïn performed a series of concerts on the west coast of the USA and in Canada.
