Pavel Khek (born 5 November 1978 in Prague) is a Czech theatre director and co-author of stage adaptations, with over eighty productions to his name across two decades. He studied theatre theory in Olomouc and Prague before completing a directing degree at DAMU. After leading ensembles in Mladá Boleslav and at the Prague City Theatres, he has served as artistic director of Klicpera Theatre in Hradec Králové - a four-time winner of the Theatre of the Year award - since the 2019/2020 season.
In October 2025, Khek's adaptation of the cult television series Arabela had its premiere at the Klicper Theatre, on which he collaborated with dramaturg Lenka Smrčková.
In August 2025, Pavel Khek and his wife, actress Veronika Khek Kubařová, had a son.
In May 2025, Khek presented the world premiere of the production Prašina 2 - Black Mercury at the Klicper Theatre, a continuation of the successful adaptation of Vojtěch Matocha's novel.
The Klicper Theatre in the 2024/2025 season attracted over 60,000 spectators with occupancy approaching 80 percent - a result in which Khek's leadership has been involved since 2019.
For the 2025/2026 season, Khek has prepared six premieres, two of which he directs himself - an adaptation of Arabela and the chamber play Every First Wednesday.
