Oskar Nedbal (1874–1930) was a Czech composer, conductor, and viola player. He studied under Antonín Dvořák at the Prague Conservatory and was a founding member of the Bohemian Quartet. He gained international recognition as a conductor and as the composer of the operetta Polenblut (Polish Blood).
