ORIENT is a Prague rock band with roots in the Modřany big-beat scene of 1964, making it one of the longest-running Czech rock acts. Over six decades the lineup has included many notable names from the Czech scene, with bassist and vocalist Jindřich Pavlišta as its long-standing backbone. The band plays original material in the rock and big-beat tradition and continues to tour actively across the country.
The band ORIENT celebrated its round 60th anniversary of existence in 2025 and performed a series of anniversary concerts throughout the republic.
In March 2025, ORIENT launched a tour with a concert at the Prague Kobyliski courtyard, followed by further performances at the Dead Jack club, Hostivice, Litoměřice, and other venues.
