Orchestre FILMharmonique is a Montreal-based Canadian orchestra founded in 2015 by Denis Chabot, widely regarded as Canada's premier film music ensemble. It sells out the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place des Arts every season with cine-concerts ranging from Harry Potter to Gladiator, and has performed alongside Hans Zimmer, Andrea Bocelli, and Stevie Wonder. Under conductor Francis Choinière, the orchestra won the 2025 Félix Award for Classical Album of the Year for its recording of François Dompierre's Requiem.
Orchestre FILMharmonique launched its first European tour with violinist Isabella d'Éloize Perron - stops include Bordeaux, Paris, Vienna, Berlin and Prague.
In autumn 2026, the orchestra under the direction of Francis Choinière will perform for the first time in Europe with François Dompierre's new composition Les Quatre Saisons du Québec.
François Dompierre's album Requiem recorded with Orchestre FILMharmonique won the Félix 2025 award for classical album of the year.
The orchestra accompanied violinist Isabella d'Éloize Perron on a tour that culminated in a debut at Carnegie Hall in New York.
