Nikola Meeuwsen (born 2002, The Hague) is a Dutch pianist who in 2025 became the first Dutch musician ever to win First Prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels, one of the world's most demanding classical music contests. His repertoire spans Bach to Prokofiev, and he is equally at home in solo recitals and chamber music. In the 2025/26 season he is touring China, Korea, Japan and Brazil, and appears as soloist with orchestras including the Rotterdam and Netherlands Philharmonic.
Nikola Meeuwsen signed a contract with Intermusica agency for worldwide management.
Janine Jansen appointed Meeuwsen as artist in residence at her International Chamber Music Festival Utrecht 2026.
Meeuwsen performed a sold-out solo recital in the Grote Pianisten series at Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
Nikola Meeuwsen won first prize (25,000 €) at the Queen Elisabeth Competition 2025 in Brussels and became the first Dutch person ever to win this competition.
Meeuwsen released his debut solo album on the prestigious Channel Classics label.
