Mladí brněnští symfonikové (MBS, 'Young Brno Symphonists') is a symphony orchestra of roughly sixty top students and graduates from Brno's municipal arts schools. Founded in 1994 on the initiative of the city's arts school directors, it has carried its current name since 2003. The ensemble is led by conductors Gabriela Tardonová and Tomáš Krejčí, and performs both symphonic and vocal-instrumental programmes at home and at international festivals.
In November 2025, the orchestra performed with an advent program (Tchaikovsky, Novak, Hindemith) conducted by Tomáš Krejčí and Gabriela Tardonová.
MBS received the title of Laureate of MFF Strážnice 2024 for the study and performance of works by Czech composers in the program Z duše země zrozená.
Conductor Tomáš Krejčí and choreographer Ladislava Košíková received the award of the director of the National Institute of Folk Culture and the president of MFF Strážnice for the project Z duše země zrozená.
In 2024, the orchestra began collaboration with the Hradišťan Dance Ensemble and created a music and dance project Klíč od domova dedicated to the Year of Czech Music.
In the 2024/2025 season, the orchestra performed at an open-air concert as part of the 21st edition of the Svatováclavský Music Festival at Hukvaldy Castle.
