Miroslav Tóth (born 1981, Bratislava) is a Slovak composer, saxophonist and performer working across contemporary classical music, electroacoustics, improvisation and music theatre. He has written several operas and video operas - including the experimental trilogy Zázračná masážní tyč and the sci-fi video opera Muž v skafandri - and the Kronos Quartet has commissioned his work. He founded the improvisational orchestra Musica Falsa et Ficta and studied with Vladimír Godár, Jevgenij Iršai and Michal Rataj. Alongside his concert output he has scored music for dozens of documentaries and feature films.
At the NODO 2026 festival in Ostrava (June 24), the world premiere of his dystopian sci-fi opera White Death will be heard, written to commission for the festival as an open-air project.
At the Ostrava Days 2025, he presented with the Czech-Slovak Dystopic Requiem Quartet the project Occupation of a Gas Station.
In July 2023, he performed with Dystopic Requiem Quartet at the multi-genre festival Hradby Samoty at Jablonica Castle.
In March 2021, he released the album Black Angels Songs on his own label Tothem Records on vinyl and in digital format.
In November 2020, he released on Tothem Records the studio album of the video opera Man in a Spacesuit, inspired by the story of astronaut Eugene Cernan.
