Russian comedian and showman Maxim Galkin celebrates his 50th birthday with a jubilee concert featuring parodies, songs, and political commentary at Prague's Municipal House.
Maxim Galkin is a Russian comedian, showman, impressionist and television host. He became widely known as the host of the Russian version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" and numerous other TV shows. He is recognised for his celebrity impressions and ironic monologues. Since 2022 he has been living abroad and touring extensively in Europe and the USA.
In August 2025, Galkin was hit by a car while cycling in Latvian Jūrmala and suffered a hand injury.
A Russian lawyer confirmed in October 2025 that Galkin does not have access to his royalties in Russia - the money is blocked in a special account due to his status as a foreign agent.
In November 2025, he faced criminal prosecution in Russia for insulting the state flag - facing up to three years in prison or a fine.
In February 2025, he announced a tour of Israeli cities with a new show planned for November 2025.
By the end of 2025, Galkin became the most expensive Russian-speaking artist performing abroad.
