Mary Ocher (born Mariya Ocheretianskaya, 1986, Moscow) grew up in Tel Aviv after her family emigrated to Israel in 1991, then relocated to Berlin in 2007 where she has been based ever since. She makes politically charged avant-garde pop and experimental music, releasing on her own Underground Institute label and previously on the krautrock imprint Klangbad. Her 2024 album Your Guide to Revolution earned the German Record Critics' Award in the Electronic/Experimental category, and her latest record Weimar appeared in March 2026.
Mary Ocher released the album Weimar (March 13, 2026), recorded on piano at the Popschutz studio in Berlin; the title refers to the fall of the Weimar Republic and the rise of fascism.
In March 2026, Mary Ocher toured Great Britain with concerts in Brighton, London, Glasgow, Newcastle, and Bristol, then continued to Zagreb and Ljubljana.
The album Your Guide to Revolution (June 2024) won the German Music Critics Award in the electronics/experimental category and was chosen as album of the week by The Quietus magazine.
In July 2024, Mary Ocher released a collection of B-sides and remixes Palazzo Stabile Sessions: Remixes and B-sides.
In April 2025, Mary Ocher performed in Australia - including in Melbourne, Hobart, and Sydney - and previously in Tashkent at the Goethe Institute.
