Margarita Krinicyna (1932-2005) was a Soviet and Ukrainian actress who spent most of her career in Kyiv. She is best remembered for playing Pronja Prokopivna in the 1961 comedy Chasing Two Hares - the "European-educated" bride who has no idea her suitor is only after her dowry. In 1996 she received the title of People's Artist of Ukraine.
