
Maranatha Gospel Choir
Prague gospel choir Maranatha Gospel Choir with a professional band performs at Jazz Dock. The repertoire includes compositions by Kirk Franklin, original works, and gospel arrangements of pop hits.
Maranatha Gospel Choir is a Prague-based gospel choir founded in 2006, now numbering close to 100 members. It ranks among the largest gospel ensembles in the Czech Republic, performing in a chamber line-up of around twelve singers for club shows and up to fifty for full concerts. The repertoire spans songs by Kirk Franklin and Brian Fentress alongside original compositions - music by Radim Genčev, Czech lyrics by Ondřej Ládek. The choir has worked with Aneta Langerová, Vojta Dyk and Xindl X, and contributes to the acrobatic Loosers Cirque shows at Bravo Theatre.
In May 2026, the choir performed at a benefit concert for the humanitarian organization ADRA in Prague, admission was free.
At the end of March 2026, a traditional Easter concert was held in full ensemble with up to 50 singers in the Vinohrady church.
In January 2026, the choir performed a benefit concert in the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Stara Boleslav.
In October 2025, the choir performed at the Kolowrat Theatre in Prague together with jazz pianist Marek Novotny and CrossOver & String Quartet.
In 2025, a live album recorded with Brian Fentress at RockOpera Praha (2019) was released on streaming platforms.
