KRS-One is an American rapper and hip-hop philosopher from the Bronx, New York. He co-founded Boogie Down Productions in the 1980s and gained recognition with the album "Criminal Minded". A pioneer of conscious rap, he remains active as a performer and lecturer on hip-hop culture.
