Kavej 2 is a 2026 Slovak comedy film directed by Lukáš Zednikovič from a screenplay by Michaela Zakuťanská - the same creative team behind the hit first film from 2024. The story picks up five years on, following two friends from eastern Slovakia, Klára and Veronika, through new family and relationship complications. Distribution in both Slovakia and the Czech Republic is handled by Continental Film.
The creators of Kavej 2 presented the film at a press conference in Bratislava and released the official trailer; the cinema premiere is scheduled for July 23, 2026.
Before the cinema premiere, there will be a nationwide festival tour Kavej Fest - pre-premiere outdoor screenings start on July 3 at Zemplínska Šírava and continue through Košice, Prešov, Banská Bystrica, Martin, Nitra to Senec.
The title song of the film "Nalej mi Kavej" by the Prešov band Heľenine Oči received almost 150,000 views just a week after its release.
Continental Film released a teaser for Kavej 2; the film is produced by noemo in collaboration with general partner DeutschMann and main partner Voyo.
