Kateřina a Dalibor Štruncovi

About

Kateřina and Dalibor Štrunc are a married couple and the musical core of the Brno-based band Cimbal Classic, which Dalibor - dulcimer player, composer and conservatory teacher - founded in 1991 at the Okolo Třeboně folk festival. Kateřina, a trained violinist with orchestral experience at the Brno Philharmonic, joined in 1994 and has since formed the vocal and interpretive centre of the band alongside her husband. Over more than thirty years, Cimbal Classic has grown into one of the most distinctive acts on the Czech folk scene, with thirteen studio albums, hundreds of concerts at home and abroad, and broadcasts on Czech Television, Czech Radio and the BBC. Both Štrunc spouses are also long-standing members of the folk group Javory, led by Hana and Petr Ulrych.
