Katastr is an experimental duo from Tábor, Czech Republic, formed by drummer Jan Svačina (Please The Trees, Veena) and electronics player Patrik Tygr Kučera (ex C, ex Waawe). Their sound sits at the crossroads of 1970s krautrock and psychedelia with 1990s electronic and ambient music - drawing on Orbital, Aphex Twin, and the Warp Records and Tresor scenes. Live drums locked against analogue synthesizers form the core of their approach, which stays raw and physical in the DIY spirit. After the EP Hausnumero (2021) and the two-track Pigamoto released on Berlin's Unsustainable Records, they are set to release their debut album on Kabinet Records in October 2026.
