Kašek was a male grey seal and the long-time star of Zoopark Chomutov. Born in 1983 in Poland, he was found as an orphan pup by fishermen on the Baltic coast and taken to Zoo Katowice. From the age of thirteen he lived in Chomutov, where he fathered eight pups and reached the age of 41 - making him the longest-lived male grey seal in European zoo history.
