
Waltari (FIN)
Finnish metal legends Waltari bring their new album Nations' Neurosis to Brno's Fléda - an intense show blending metal, rock, and experimentation with charismatic frontman Kärtsy Hatakka.
Kärtsy Hatakka is a Finnish vocalist, bassist and composer, born on 17 December 1967 in Helsinki. He co-founded the crossover band Waltari in 1986 and has written most of its catalogue, which spans metal, industrial, electronics, hip hop and classical music. Beyond Waltari, he composed the soundtracks for the video games Max Payne (2001) and Max Payne 2 (2003) and has released several solo albums. Under his leadership Waltari performed at Roskilde and Wacken Open Air, establishing themselves as pioneers of Finnish metal on the international stage.
Waltari released a new album Nations' Neurosis (Metalville Records) on May 16, 2025, their fourteenth studio album.
Kärtsy Hatakka participated in the spring broadcast of Finnish television Nelonen in the ninth season of the singing competition Tähdet, tähdet.
To celebrate the release of the album Nations' Neurosis, Waltari held a concert on May 29, 2025 at the Helsinki club On The Rocks.
Waltari have a confirmed concert at the Prague Palác Akropolis on March 20, 2026.
Kärtsy Hatakka was a guest on the single Shooting Star Hearts by Finnish band Asikaine, released in June 2024.
