Kapriola is an all-female rock-metal band from Moravia, formed around 2001 at the Ostrava conservatory. Founder Dona Michelle - guitarist, violinist and the main songwriter - is the only remaining original member. The band has released six albums; the 2016 record "Na konci přijde začátek" marked a decisive shift toward metal, while "Rebellion" (2020) introduced English-language tracks for the first time. Their signature sound blends electric violin lines with heavy guitar riffs and the raw, earthy vocals of frontwoman Michelle.
Kapriola released a new single "Ona se dívá" on May 26, 2025 with a music video filmed in the Church of St. Wenceslas in Opava - the first taste of the upcoming album.
The release of the new studio album is planned for summer 2026, the band is composing the material gradually with individual singles.

Kapriola performed at the Masters of Rock 2023 festival on the second stage and gave an interview for the international magazine My Global Mind.
