Legendary Czech singer and songwriter Kamil Střihavka takes the stage at Sono Music Club in Brno.
Kamil Střihavka (born 20 January 1965 in Osek) is a Czech rock singer, songwriter and musical actor whose career began in 1986 with the Teplice metal band Motorband. He became widely known for playing Jesus in the Czech production of Jesus Christ Superstar, giving over 1,200 performances at Prague's Spirála theatre - a run that British rights holders praised as one of the finest portrayals of the role worldwide. In 1992 he co-founded the supergroup BSP (Balage, Střihavka, Pavlíček), whose song Země vzdálená was among the most-played Czech tracks of 1994. Since 2007 he has led the band The Leaders, performing in both rock and acoustic formats, and in 2015 he was inducted into the Czech Beatová síň slávy (Beat Hall of Fame).
Střihavka is preparing a jubilee show titled "40 Years on Stage" for November 2026 at the Barrák Club in Ostrava.
In June 2026, Střihavka will perform at the Štěrkovna Open Music festival at Hlučín Lake.
A joint concert by Báry Basiková & Basic Band and Kamil Střihavka with The Leaders is scheduled for the end of May 2026 in Hluboké nad Vltavou.
In January 2026, Střihavka with The Leaders performed an acoustic concert at the Měšťanská beseda in Plzeň.
In 2015, Kamil Střihavka was inducted into the Beat Hall of Fame.
