John Milton

About

John Milton (1608–1674) was an English poet and writer, regarded as one of the greatest figures in English literature. He is best known for his epic poem Paradise Lost (1667), which retells the biblical story of the Fall of Man. Milton was also a prominent political thinker and advocate for freedom of the press.
