Novojičín Wind Music Festival, VII Edition
The seventh edition of this traditional brass band festival brings live performances to the Skalkách amphitheatre in Nový Jičín.
Jistebnická 13 is a small brass band from Jistebník in the Nový Jičín district of Moravia, founded in September 1999 under the auspices of the local municipal office. Bandleader Ladislav Mariáš - a music teacher, professional tuba player and instrument repairer - has stood at the podium since day one. The ensemble numbers more than 17 musicians and singers drawn from the wider region, with a solo cellist as one of its distinctive features. Its repertoire spans traditional marches and polkas through film themes and musical arrangements.
In July 2025, the ensemble participated in a major music festival in the German town of Rastede, where it performed alongside approximately fifty different musical groups.
In 2024, the ensemble placed 3rd at the International Festival of Wind Orchestras in the Polish town of Krzyzanowice.
Jistebnická 13 regularly performs at the Municipal Celebration in Jistebník alongside other local musical ensembles.
