Jiří Zmožek (born 21 February 1943 in Otrokovice) is a Czech composer, singer and lyricist whose songs form the backbone of Czech pop music from the 1980s. After studying piano and French horn at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava, he became the go-to hitmaker for Karel Gott, Hana Zagorová, Marie Rottrová and Michal Tučný, among others. As a performer he broke through with his own song Už mi lásko není dvacet let (1987), and in 1985 he organised the charity project Nejhezčí dárek, which brought together fifty Czech and Slovak singers.
Jiří Zmožek performed at the Prague Lucerna concert hall with a program called 80+3, another in a series of birthday concerts.
In October 2025, Zmožek performed with the program Greatest Hits at the castle in Litoměřice.
In February 2025, Zmožek performed a birthday concert 80+2 in the Grand Hall of Lucerna in Prague.
On November 15, 2024, Supraphon published an audiobook of Jiří Zmožek's memoirs titled Already Love Is Not Twenty Years Old for Me, recorded based on a book interview with his daughter Markéta Zahradníková.
In spring 2024, Kontrast publishing house released written memoirs of Jiří Zmožek in the form of an interview with his daughter.
