JURKOFEST Summer Stage
A summer music festival featuring Jiří Maršíček, Krajina Ró, Jan Spálený & ASPM, and Sto zvířat.
Jiří Maršíček Trio is a Prague blues band led by guitarist and vocalist Jiří Maršíček, active since 2010. Starting out in straight blues, he gradually developed a sound that draws on soul and funk as well, with Stevie Ray Vaughan, Freddie King and Sean Costello as key influences. The trio is a regular fixture at Prague venues such as Jazz & Blues Club Ungelt and Palác Akropolis, and Maršíček also plays guitar in other Czech blues projects, including O.J. Zlabek Band.
Maršíček as a guitarist for O.J. Zlabek Band won the Blues Aperitiv competition, a qualifying round for the Blues Alive festival.
Jiří Maršíček Trio performed at the Blues Café coffee house in Kutná Hora; the concert was supported by the City of Kutná Hora and the OSA Foundation.
The trio opened for British guitar legend Matt Schofield at his very first performance in the Czech Republic at the Palác Akropolis.
Maršíček as a member of O.J. Zlabek Band represented the Czech Republic at the European Blues Challenge 2024.
