Jiří Langmajer (born 3 June 1966 in Plzeň) is a Czech theatre, film and television actor, son of an opera singer. He trained at the Prague Conservatory (1981-1987) and began appearing on screen while still a student. Over his career he has worked with numerous Prague theatres, including Divadlo pod Palmovkou and Divadlo na Vinohradech, and since 2018 he has been a regular guest at Divadlo Ungelt. He received the Thalia Award in 1999 for his role as Caligula.
The comedy "In Good and Bad" (2024) starring Langmajer topped the ranking of the most-watched films on the Oneplay platform in June 2025.
The romantic comedy "Sea in the Yard" (2025), in which Langmajer plays a blind piano tuner, topped Czech cinemas on its opening weekend and attracted 35 thousand viewers.
The Czech comedy "In Good and Bad" with Langmajer was released on Netflix on March 26, 2025 and immediately became the most-watched film on the platform.
At NATO Days in Mošnov, Langmajer personally announced that a sequel to the cult comedy "What Kind of Soldier Is That" is in the works and is expected to come to cinemas in 2027.
