Jiří Hlobil is a Plzeň-based prose writer, poet, playwright, and cultural organiser. He works as programme manager at the West Bohemian Gallery in Plzeň and is a member of the Centre of West Bohemian Writers. As author, dramaturg, and host he has taken part in over two thousand literary events and book launches. He is also the founder of the Václav Hrabě Literary Festival in Hořovice.
