Jason Nelson Robards Jr. (July 26, 1922 - December 26, 2000) was an American stage and film actor widely regarded as the foremost interpreter of Eugene O'Neill's plays. His 1956 Off-Broadway turn in The Iceman Cometh revived O'Neill's reputation and launched Robards to stardom. He won back-to-back Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor for All the President's Men (1976) and Julia (1977), becoming the first actor to achieve that feat, and is one of only 24 performers to hold the Triple Crown of Acting.
