🎬 Doctor on a Trip (2025)

Every fourth person will experience some form of mental illness during their lifetime. Depression, anxiety, and other psychological problems are not merely individual issues - they are a reflection of the stressful and rapidly changing pace of modern society. Tibor, Richard, and Lucie have struggled with depression for many years. Their journey has been full of frustration and despair. Like thousands of other patients, traditional antidepressants brought them no relief. When it seemed that the possibility of change was gone, new hope appeared: groundbreaking research led by MUDr. Tomáš Páleníček and an international scientific team. Their goal is ambitious: to determine whether psychedelic substances can bring real change in the lives of people with depression and open the door to new alternative treatment methods. The results from laboratories are set to be verified in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. The experiences of the indigenous inhabitants there could represent a crucial breakthrough in their research.
