Štěrkovna Open Music 2026
A traditional festival on the shore of Hlučín Lake featuring headliner Jaromír Nohavica, bands Chinaski and No Name, and dozens of other programme items across four stages.
Jaromír Nohavica is a Czech singer-songwriter and poet from Ostrava, one of the most prominent figures in Czech folk and tramp music. His songs are known for their poetic lyrics rooted in Ostrava life and social themes. The band Neřež was founded in 1998 as a continuation of his backing ensemble.
In spring 2026, Nohavica added another concert in Tábor due to high demand and announced two performances in Karlovy Vary in May.
Four January concerts (Přerov, Kopřivnice, Frýdek-Místek) were cancelled in January 2026 for health reasons and rescheduled for March and May.
The documentary film Jarek (directed by Petra Všelichová) appeared on the streaming platform Oneplay after its success in cinemas, where it immediately reached first place in the TOP 10 films of the week.
The documentary film Jarek had its official premiere on August 28, 2025 in Czech and Slovak cinemas; over 10,000 viewers watched it during the first weekend.
At a press conference in Ostrava, a more than one-hundred-minute documentary film about Nohavica's life and work was presented, filmed over two years of work under the direction of director Petra Všelichová.
