Jan Saudek is a Czech photographer born in 1935 in Prague, internationally recognised for his staged, often erotically charged images that combine black-and-white photography with hand-applied colour. His work has been exhibited worldwide and has had a lasting influence on Czech and international photography since the latter half of the 20th century.
