Jan Krejča is a Czech theorbist, lutenist and baroque guitarist, one of the leading Czech early-music performers. He started on the Renaissance lute, later expanded to theorbo and baroque guitar, and completed three years of study in Italy, earning a lute diploma in 2002. He works regularly with ensembles such as Collegium 1704, Collegium Marianum and Ensemble Inégal, and appears at festivals including Prague Spring and Concentus Moraviae. He has also released a solo album of virtuoso Italian theorbo music, Intavolatura di Tiorba.
