Jakub Folvarčný

About

Jakub Folvarčný (born 1978) is a Prague-based freelance performer, poet, actor and director, a graduate of the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre at DAMU. Under the stage name Jakub Foll he is one of the pioneers of Czech slam poetry, winning the national championship in 2010. His original projects blend theatre, puppetry, poetry and music; he also fronts the band Střídmí klusáci v kulisách višní, which mixes folk, rock and stand-up comedy, and writes scripts for Czech Television and Czech Radio Vltava.
