About

Ivo Batoušek (born 1972 in Rýmařov) is an Olomouc-based drummer, instructor and music therapist who plays drum kit, djembe, Japanese taiko, cajón and dozens of other percussion instruments. In 2000 he founded the drum show Jumping Drums from his own students in Bruntál, and the ensemble has since performed across the Czech Republic and abroad - France, Germany, Japan among others. His educational concerts and school workshops have reached over a quarter of a million children; he also plays in the hard-rock band The Pant and has published the book Cesta bubeníka: Střípky.
