Summer Grébovka with Divadlo MA 2026
Seven years running, Divadlo MA's Summer Grébovka festival brings six theatrical productions to a neo-Renaissance grotto in Prague's Havlíček Gardens throughout August.
Evgeny Kissin (born 1971 in Moscow) is widely regarded as one of the foremost pianists of his generation and a leading heir to the Russian virtuoso tradition. He studied exclusively under Anna Kantor at Moscow's Gnessin School from age six - she remained his only teacher throughout his career. He holds British citizenship (since 2002) and Israeli citizenship (since 2013). In July 2024, Russia's Ministry of Justice added him to its foreign agents registry.
Kissin performed with the Czech Philharmonic at the Rudolfinum - for the first time in seven years - with Prokofiev's 1st Piano Concerto (November 5-7, 2025).
The album Evgeny Kissin Plays Chopin (Live) was released on the Verbier Festival Gold / Deutsche Grammophon label with recordings from the Verbier Festival.
In an interview for Slippedisc, Kissin revealed that since his youth he has compiled a repertoire plan extending all the way to 2050.
The Russian Ministry of Justice added Kissin to the register of foreign agents (July 19, 2024).
Kissin is performing a series of concerts in the USA: solo recitals at Carnegie Hall and concerts with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (April-May 2026).
