Juliy Chersanovich Kim (born 23 December 1936, Moscow) is a Russian-Israeli poet, bard, playwright and screenwriter, regarded as one of the founding figures of the Soviet author's song movement. During the Soviet era he was forced to work under the pseudonym Yu. Mikhailov because of his active role in the dissident movement; only from 1985 could he publish under his real name. He has written over 200 songs for some 40 theatre productions and 50 films - including "An Ordinary Miracle", "The Man from the Boulevard des Capucines" and "Bumbarash" - and is a laureate of the Bulat Okudzhava State Prize.
Yuliy Kim appeared with the podcast "From River to Sea" (episode 53), where he told stories about his songs and shared his views on Israel.
Kim performed a series of major concerts in Israel: Rishon le-Zion, Haifa, Ashdod, Carmiel, and Netanya.
In Moscow at the House of Writers (CDL), Kim's concert titled "Izbrannoye" (Selected Works) took place.
In Moscow, an intimate concert by Yuliy Kim with conversations took place at the Pryamaya Rech club.
Kim performed on tour in Canada - in Vancouver and Calgary - with the program "In My Own Way".
