PFDH Olomouc / Ensemble Inégal
Baroque vocal and instrumental works by Capricornus and Michna, performed by Ensemble Inégal in Olomouc's historic cathedral.
Ensemble Inégal is a Prague-based vocal-instrumental ensemble founded in 2000 by organist-conductor Adam Viktora and soprano Gabriela Eibenová. The group built its European reputation above all through the systematic rediscovery of Jan Dismas Zelenka, releasing more than 25 recordings of his works - many of them world premieres - and winning the French Diapason d'Or four times. Since 2007 it has run its own subscription concert series in Prague, and since 2014 the international Zelenka Festival Prague - Dresden.
The ensemble released two new CDs on the Nibiru label: Zelenka: Miserere and Zelenka: Missa circumcisionis ZWV 11.
The subscription cycle 2025 concluded on December 21 with a concert in the Knights' Hall of the Grand Prior's Palace in Prague featuring music by Antonio Vivaldi.
In the Advent program, the ensemble performed Zelenka's psalms from his complete vesper cycles in the Church of St. Simon and Jude in Prague in collaboration with FOK.
Ensemble Inégal performed on May 7, 2025 in the Church of St. Simon and Jude in Prague.
