Hedárium is an author's puppet theatre founded by actress Hedvika Řezáčová, a graduate of the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre at DAMU in Prague. After years at Divadlo Minor, Řezáčová launched the project following the birth of her daughter, building original fairy-tale shows for children from age three - with handcrafted puppets, live music and original songs. Productions tour theatres, cultural centres, open-air festivals and schools across the Czech Republic.
The production of Čupřina and the Himalayan Horyduch in June 2026 was included in the program of the International Theatre Festival in Hradec Králové, where Hedárium theatre performed it in the Laboratory of Drak Theatre.
In April 2026, Hedárium theatre was looking for a new collaborator to offer performances in other locations, indicating the planned growth of the ensemble.
On November 2, 2025, the premiere of the new production Čupřina and the Himalayan Horyduch took place at Prague's KD Mlejn, the second joint fairy tale by Hedvika Řezáčová and Vendula Holičková.
Hedárium theatre performed at the Healing Festival 2025 with the fairy tale Studánka and the Magic of the Forest.
The performance Studánka and the Magic of the Forest was created with the support of the State Fund for Culture of the Czech Republic and in summer 2025 was again included in the program of the Brno festival On the Boards, Pavement and Grass.
