About

Die Ukrainiens are a Dresden-based band founded in 2002, known for blending Slavic folk, ska and Balkan rhythms into a genre they call speed folk. The six-piece group - made up of musicians from Germany, Russia and Belarus - draws on Ukrainian and Russian folk traditions, bard songs and rock, reworking them into their own arrangements. Over more than two decades they have released four albums and played countless clubs, city festivals and benefit events across Germany and Europe.
