
Chansons in the Gardens
A concert series featuring Czech chanson singers and special guests performing in historic gardens. Dan Bárta, Radka Fišarová, Renata Drössler, and David Kraus present their repertoire in the Ledebour Garden.
David Kraus (born 13 February 1980 in Prague) is a Czech singer, songwriter, composer and actor. He spent several years in the rock band Laura a její tygři before going solo with his debut album in 2002. Alongside his own music he has appeared in musicals and films, written scores for advertising and cinema, and for many years fronted the house band on his father Jan Kraus's television talk show. He is the son of TV host and actor Jan Kraus and artist-actress Jana Krausová.
David Kraus was announced as a guest of Symphonic Night 4, where he will sing Meky's song Fair Play - performances are planned in Pezinok (6. 9.) and in the Prague Municipal House (20. 10. 2025).
David Kraus performed with his band at the Jirasek Theatre - the concert included original songs and cover versions.
Kraus confirmed in an interview that he ended his regular appearances on Jan Kraus's show and is focusing on his own musical projects.
Kraus publicly spoke about health problems - for half a year his hand was paralyzed, doctors initially did not know the cause; eventually he recovered after treatment with corticosteroids.
Kraus performed at the charity concert Together Against Helplessness for the ALSA organization at Prague Crossroads.
